The Wall Street Journal has an article on the portrayal of Winston Churchill in two current stage productions in New York, one being the one-man show “Churchill” playing at the New World Stages and the other being “The Audience” that will open on March 8th at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre. In the latter production Helen Mirren plays Queen Elizabeth II meeting several of her prime ministers for the weekly private meeting. The article includes comments from the two actors in the respective productions, Ronald Keaton and Dakin Matthews, on playing Churchill on the stage.
