The winter 2015 issue of The Finest Hour: The Journal of Winston Churchill is dedicated to the fiftieth anniversary of Churchill’s death with articles by Celia Sandys (My Grandfather’s Final Days) and Rodney Croft (Churchill’s Final Farewell). Michael Shelden, the author of Young Titan: The Making of Winston Churchill, contributes an article entitled “The Garden Gate to No. 10″ which considers the relationship of Churchill and Prime Minister Asquith in the early stages of the First World War. Churchill’s interesting 1935 article for the News of the World, entitled “Looking Back on Sixty Years,” is also reprinted in the issue. The text of the address given by William Shawcross at the service for Lady Soames held at Westminster Abbey in November 2014 is included, while the issue is rounded out with articles by Peter Clarke (Mr. Churchill’s Profession) and Richard Toye (Researching Churchill in the Digital Age). The journal can be found here.
