The National Portrait Gallery is hosting “Public and Private: Winston Churchill in Photographs.” This exhibit displays an array of photographs to illustrate the life of Churchill, including iconic portraits as well as snapshots that “show him as a correspondent, soldier, painter, writer, friend and family man.” Personal snapshots of Churchill and his wife Clementine from their 1934 voyage through the Mediterranean aboard Walter Guinness’s yacht Rosaura will be publically displayed for the first time. The exhibit is free of charge and will run 27 October 2015 – 5 June 2016. The exhibit web site is here.
