A convertible 1939 Daimler DB18 that was used by Winston Churchill during the Second World War is up for auction. While he did not own the vehicle, Churchill was loaned the use of the Daimler in 1944 and again in 1949 after the war. It was modified to include a loud speaker with which Churchill could address crowds. The car is expected to fetch £260,000 when it is auctioned by Coys auctioneers today at Blenheim Palace. Articles on the Daimler are available from the BBC News and Mirror.
