hatA cowboy hat that belonged to Winston Churchill is to be auctioned by Christie’s this month and is expected to be sold for £4000 to £6000. The hat up for sale is the ivory-hued Biltmore that was presented to Churchill by the City of Calgary while he was in the city as part of his three-month trip across Canada and the United States in 1929. Churchill, who was famous for his many hats, kept this cowboy hat as a “treasured memento” and wore it often. Information on the hat and auction is available from the Calgary Sun and CTV News as well as from the Christie’s website.
