Yesterday’s 50th anniversary of the state funeral of Sir Winston Churchill was observed in London. The launch Havengore that carried Churchill’s coffin down the Thames from Tower Pier to Festival Hall Pier recreated the journey, a memorial service was held in Westminster Hall, and a service was held at Westminster Abbey.
